Here are some of the projects we are working on.

We have been assigned benches to be installed in some of our parks. Members of the WRA / IVW have been liaising with the council regarding their precise location.

The Welgemoed Resident's Association has now met with managers in the City of Cape Town regarding the heavy lorries and the perverse and unhelpful routing of traffic around Pick 'n Pay. We are looking for the assistance of a Civil Engineer to propose alternatives to the council.

It appears that getting the council to install sleeping policemen is too expensive.

The WRA / IVW has undertaken to improve the parks for small children ( park on the corner of Goewerneur and Rheede is the first goal - however we need some specific engineering supplies or expertise to continue).

Residents are requested to drive slowly in the area and be cognoscente of the children on foot and bicycle.

We wish to improve the web site. To do this we would like local businesses to sponsor an advert or footer. Please contact us.
